Generator, by Armand Morin, is a downloadable software
program that lets you create an unlimited number of
virtual, 2D & 3D, ebook and software covers.
Armand has done a decent job with this product.
you can now create spiral bound reports, thin books,
thick books and boxes and even CD software covers --
all with just a few mouse clicks.
It mostly uses Direct X technology that makes it simple
to rotate the image you're working with- maybe too simple.
My personal preference is to have full control over
effects and other elements like higher quality templates
to make a truly "photo realistic" image. These
elements are sadly missing.
I could make a cover in under a minute, but I would
have liked more control over how it looked, but I feel
that there are lots of improvement that can be made
to the ease of use, and more options for file output.
Comes with 173 High Quality ebook templates, 173 High
Quality software box templates, and step-by-step guide.
Mildly overpriced for the quality of results.
If you want covers quickly and you're really not looking
to do have your covers win awards for the "best
in show", then this is the generator for you.

Pros: DirectX technology makes it
easy to rotate and make covers. Comes with a truckload
of templates.
Cons:Only runs on Windows machines.
Mac users are once again left out in the cold. Templates
and options need work. Mildly overpriced. |
